REPEATING PATTERNS OF UNGODLINESS

Ecclesiastes 1:9 (AMPC)
“The thing that has been–it is what will be again, and that which has been done is that which will be done again; and there is nothing new under the sun.”
 
Dear people of God, there is a pattern I have observed even as I grow older daily, which indeed is a sad one.
 
You see young maidens who get into high school, complete high school, and then begin to follow the young men in the area who deceive them with false stories of love (lust in reality) and this continues until you no longer see the maiden for some time.
 
The next time she appears, she is with a baby and the young men who once chased her are now nowhere to be found.
 
Why do these maidens make this same mistake repeatedly? It is either the result of a faulty family upbringing or a refusal to learn from the mistakes of others.
 
These maidens believe these young jobless men are truly interested in them whereas the objective for the young men is to satisfy their immoral cravings for the opposite gender.
 
There are reports of those who genuinely reached out to advise the maidens on the dangers ahead, but their response is either “you are jealous of me because of the attention I am receiving” or “you are old school and so your time has passed”.
 
The young maiden is living only for the moment and is not thoughtful enough or bothered about her future, her health, her soul and her eternity. What if she contracts HIV/AIDS? What if her womb is damaged from a procured abortion when she gets pregnant?
 
What if she dies in the process of an abortion or the immoral life she is living? Does she not know she would end up in an eternity in HELL?
 
Dear friend, Christians must genuinely reach out to these young maidens through Evangelism with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ because it is only the Word of God that can arrest and transform a person, since it is Spirit and Life – John 3:5; John 6:63b.
 
Tell these maidens the Truth about the danger of the ungodly lifestyle they are living and advise them to desist and come to know Jesus Christ because Jesus is the ONLY guarantee of a life of fulfilment on this earth and in eternity after this life.
 
If you are a young maiden who is currently indulging in this reprehensible behaviour of selling your body for money or to satisfy your lust, there is nothing to gain but a future life of pain and regret as those before you have since realised.
 
As long as you are alive, there is hope for you and that hope remains the Lord Jesus Christ Who loves you so much He came to this earth to suffer and die for your sins and those of all mankind, and He rose again on the third day as He promised to prove He is the Messiah.
 
Run to Jesus Christ today and now, for tomorrow may be too late for you.
 
May the good Lord bless you as you heed His Word today, act on it and share with others in Jesus’ Most Holy Name, Amen.

HOW DO YOU CONTROL VIOLENCE IN PEOPLE?

Hebrews 12:14 (AMPC)  “ Strive to live in peace with everybody and pursue that consecration  and holiness without which no one will [ever] see the Lord.”   Dear people of God, I read sometime in December 2019 ago of a police inspector in Nigeria who shot and killed his colleague, a corporal, and the same shot injured another colleague, a deputy Superintendent of police after which the police inspector took his own life.   What could have led to such violence?   I also read of another unfortunate story of a lady killed December 25, 2019, Christmas Day, by her husband who had beaten her to a coma and then ran away after discovering what he had done. GOD CANNOT VIOLATE HIS WORD

  Psalm 89:34  “My covenant I will not violate, nor will I alter the utterance of My lips.” Dear people of God, today’s lead Bible text in Psalm 89:34 is a profound statement by God Almighty and Father of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. What this statement from God means is that there is nothing He has said in His Word that He will fail to perform. A sensible Christian who understands this will look for what God has said by careful, meditative study of God’s Word found only in the Holy Bible, thank God joyously for it, claim it and God will surely perform what His Word has stated.
