“Cast
your burden on the Lord [releasing the weight of it] and He will sustain you;
He will never allow the [consistently] righteous to be moved (made to slip,
fall, or fail). [I Pet. 5:7.]
23 But
You, O God, will bring down the wicked into the pit of destruction; men of
blood and treachery shall not live out half their days. But I will trust in,
lean on, and confidently rely on You.”
Dear people of God, we have seen from the first part of the post
on this topic that contrary to what some folks believe, the spirit of fear is
NOT of God but a foul spirit of the devil – 2 Timothy 1:7.
Indeed, fear is so terrible that it paralyses a person who
dwells in it and leads him or her to take wrong decisions that are highly
offensive to God.
A typical example is where people falsify documents, sell their
bodies, steal from their employers, destroy others to protect themselves, all
in a bid to earn a living from paid employment.
Fear drives some to commit murder, abortion, bear false witness
in trying to hide a wrongdoing.
Those who indulge in such despicable behaviour are either
desperate to have their daily sustenance or hide a malfeasance and are therefore
driven by fear to engage in acts highly offensive to God.
You can only hide things from men but not from God Almighty, for as
stated in Hebrews 4:13 (AMPC), “And not a creature exists that is concealed
from His sight, but all things are open and exposed, naked and
defenseless to the eyes of Him with Whom we have to do.”
Just as we are told in today’s lead Holy Bible text above, we
should trust fully in the Lord God Almighty and cast our burdens on Him because
He will NEVER allow the CONSISTENTLY righteous to be moved (made to slip, fall
or fail).
What does it mean to be consistently righteous? It means you
have come to believe and know God as your Father, accepted His Son Jesus Christ
as your Saviour, believed His Word in the Holy Bible and are a doer of the Word
and not just a hearer.
You are ready to stand your ground against any opposition that
challenges your firm faith decision to follow Jesus Christ to the end of your
life because you know Jesus Christ as your Provider Whose Word is Yea and Amen.
In today’s world, this is a tall order from the realities of the
pressures out there but for anyone whose trust is in God, He would always make
a way out and not permit you to fail.
Dear friend, whenever you feel the emotion or spirit of fear and
it is driving you to take a decision, first weigh the decision against God’s
Word in the Bible and if your decision is at variance, command the foul spirit
of fear to leave you in the Name of Jesus Christ.
I did not say shout but give a simple command in the Name of
Jesus Christ to the spirit of fear to leave you and begin to declare God’s Word
over your life and over that particular situation.
There is tremendous power in the Name of Jesus Christ and all
spirits MUST bow at the mention of His Name.
Worship and thank the Lord for His Word and Holy Spirit and
don’t stop until you feel that peace that only God can give.
Just continue to tell yourself He (Jesus Christ) Who lives in me
is greater and mightier than he (satan) who is in the world, for that is the
Truth of God’s Word as stated in 1 John 4:4.
Don’t allow fear to destroy your life. Rather, build your faith
by daily study, meditation, belief and confession of God’s Word and allow God’s
Spirit rule you in every area of your life.
May the good Lord bless you as you heed
His Word today, act on it and share with others in Jesus’ Most Holy Name, Amen.
Gabriel Ama.
