“You
masters, act on the same [principle] toward them and give up
threatening and using violent and abusive words, knowing that He Who
is both their Master and yours is in heaven, and that there is no respect of
persons (no partiality) with Him.”
Dear people of God, there is a popular saying that “to test a
man’s character, give him power.”
Indeed, it is few men who have the fear of God Almighty to
realize that ALL power belongs to God and that they are mere mortals.
This fear of God makes
such men humble with due regard for their fellow humans to treat them well.
What has become the norm in society is that as humans climb the
social and political success ladder the majority of them treat their fellow
humans with disdain and disrespect as though the latter were lesser beings.
In whatever sphere of life, this oppressive and highly offensive
behaviour is the same but the victims of the oppression groan in secret and
tolerate it in public.
How sad.
Even the God Who created us highly detests such behaviour
because of all His creation, it is only humans He created in His image and
likeness. Proverbs 14:31 states thus, “He who oppresses the poor reproaches,
mocks, and insults his Maker, but he who is kind and merciful to the
needy honours Him.”
It is therefore a grave offence to God for anyone to maltreat
and demean his or her fellow humans.
No matter what someone has done to offend you, the person
remains a human just like you and you could punish the person in many different
ways and be justified.
However, when you begin to treat the person as an animal through
verbal and physical torture especially as seen in Africa or foreign nations
were Africans are highly disrespected, then the punishment has gone too far.
You can see God’s warning in today’s main Holy Bible text above
that we should refrain from using threatening and abusive words on those over
whom we exercise authority of any type because we have a Master in heaven to
whom we must account for our actions.
If your fellow oppressors tolerate your despicable attitude and maltreatment
meted out to others, be certain that God would NEVER accept it because His Word
is clear that we should not do so.
Are you a boss in the office, an employer of labour, a government
appointee or in whatever position of authority and you are well known for
exacting toxic words and actions towards your subordinates?
Repent today, confess your sins to God, forsake them, amend your
ways, apologise to your victims and begin immediately to treat them with the
respect they deserve as your fellow humans before it is too late for you.
A Word is enough for the wise.
Jesus Christ is coming shortly to take away only His qualified
children in Rapture. Are you His child? Are you ready for Him? Are you born
again?
Come to Jesus Christ today and now, for tomorrow or later may be
too late for you.
May the good Lord bless you as you heed
His Word today, act on it and share with others in Jesus’ Most Holy Name, Amen.
