WHY YOU MUST LISTEN TO JESUS CHRIST

Revelation 3:19-20 (AMPC)
“Those whom I [dearly and tenderly] love, I tell their faults and convict and convince and reprove and chasten [I discipline and instruct them]. So be enthusiastic and in earnest and burning with zeal and repent [changing your mind and attitude]. [Prov. 3:12.]
 
20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears and listens to and heeds My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will eat with him, and he [will eat] with Me.”
 
Dear people of God, it is not every comment or advice one must listen to because anyone can give advice, but the right advice must have qualities or attributes attached to it, which is the basis of today’s message.
 
If someone gives advice, the first question you would expect to ask is, why should I listen to this advice and what benefit do I stand to gain from it?
 
Now, I want to introduce you to a Being called Jesus Christ and why you MUST listen to Him.
 
These are very important reasons you must listen to Jesus Christ:
 
(1)  He is your Creator. Yes, God Almighty created the world using His Word and Jesus Christ is the Word of God Who created you because this is stated in God’s Word in the Holy Bible in John 1:1-3,14; 1 John 5:7 & Revelation 19:13.
 
(2)  All the troubles of this world are caused by the devil, demons and their human agents and Jesus Christ is the only One Who can protect you from every work of the devil – 1 John 5:18-19.
 
(3)  All sicknesses and diseases are caused directly or indirectly by the devil (John 10:10a) and Jesus Christ is the only One Who can heal you of every sickness and disease – Matthew 8:17; Acts 10:38; 1 Peter 2:24; Colossians 1:13-14.
 
(4)  Jesus Christ is the only One Who can guarantee your future would turn out right. He cannot lie to you because His very nature is Truth, Holiness and Righteousness – Hebrews 13:8. This Truth is also stated in today’s main Holy Bible text above.
 
(5)  Jesus Christ loves you with an everlasting love and is your Saviour and Messiah Who left His glory in heaven, came into this world, took on human flesh having been born of the Virgin Mary, suffered a brutal torture and died on the Cross of Calvary for the sins of all mankind as a result of man’s disobedience to God’s commands at the beginning.
 
On the third day, Jesus rose again from death to prove that He is the Messiah God sent to rescue all humans from the penalty of sin.
 
Jesus did all these because every human being born into this world is destined to end up in eternal damnation in HELL FIRE when he or she dies without Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord of your life.
 
Jesus has shown the Way to escape eternal damnation and He remains the One and only assurance for all mankind. Do not allow anyone deceive you into thinking or believing otherwise.
 
(6)  Jesus Christ is going to judge the whole world, living and dead, sometime in the future appointed by God Almighty as stated in the Holy Bible in Acts 10:42.
 
This is why you MUST listen to Jesus Christ.
 
So how do you find the sound advice Jesus Christ has given all humans?
 
Just get a copy of the Holy Bible, ask God in prayer to guide and teach you as you study it and then do what it says because you can never go astray with everything written in the Holy Bible.
 
Come to Jesus Christ today and now, for tomorrow or later may be too late for you.
 
May the good Lord bless you as you heed His Word today, act on it and share with others in Jesus’ Merciful Name, Amen.
