“Jesus
answered him, I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, that unless a person is
born again (anew, from above), he cannot ever see (know, be acquainted with,
and experience) the kingdom of God.”
Dear people of God, in today’s world many people accomplish many
feats and for varied reasons – some for fame, some for money, some for
self-fulfilment and some to prove a point to someone or a group of people.
These feats are usually accomplished in different areas of human
endeavour – culture, arts,
sciences, creativity, philosophy, experimentation, exploration, and adventure.
While these areas of human endeavour are important for life here
on earth and even for the future, rarely do we see humans pursue what is the
most important activity in this life, which is preparation for the life
hereafter.
Of all the areas of accomplishment in this world, only one is of
significance as far as God is concerned, which is what the Lord Jesus Christ
stated in today’s main Holy Bible text above.
Jesus says unless a person is born again, he cannot ever see the
Kingdom of God.
So, what does it mean to be born again? Every human being is
born into this world with a nature of spiritual defect or weakness or natural
tendency or inclination to commit sin or wrongdoing.
The person is controlled by a foul spirit or foul spirits that
propel him or her easily to commit sin without any resistance and without
feeling any remorse. However, when you become born again, this sinful human
nature driven by the foul spirit(s) operational in the person is replaced by
God’s Holy Spirit and the person becomes a new creation.
The Lord Jesus Christ confirms this
in John 3:5-6 (AMPC), “Jesus
answered, I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, unless a man is born of water
and [even] the Spirit, he cannot [ever] enter the kingdom of God. [Ezek. 36:25-27.]
6 What
is born of [from] the flesh is flesh [of the physical is physical]; and what is
born of the Spirit is spirit.
Being born of water means being born of the Word of God.
The process is simple, which is, the person hears God’s Word on Repentance
and Salvation in Christ preached by a Christian, the person is convicted by the
Holy Spirit present in God’s Word preached and then the person believes God’s
Word, accepts it, repents, confesses sin to God in prayer, forsakes sin,
accepts Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord and begins a new journey of walk with
God in uncompromising obedience to His Word in the Holy Bible.
The person is then said to become born again, automatically
becomes a child of God and is given the full rights of all God’s children as
stated in John 1:12.
Dear friend, no human being on this earth can enter heaven
without going through this simple process. If you have been told that you can
enter via another means and so you reject God’s Word preached to you, then you
are courting grave danger because the end is eternal damnation.
The Holy Bible states in Proverbs 14:12 and 16:25 (AMPC), “There
is a way that seems right to a man and appears straight before him, but at
the end of it is the way of death.”
Again, take note that Jesus Christ the Saviour and Lord of the
Universe made it clear that UNLESS a person is born again, he or she can never
enter God’s Kingdom so that statement is as clear as it is written.
All other accomplishments on this earth in all areas of human
endeavour pale in significance in comparison with the eternal requirement of
God that all humans must be born again before they can cross into heaven once
they depart this world.
Therefore, do not allow yourself to be deceived into believing
that your accomplishment as an “expert” in any area of life outside being born
again qualifies you to enter heaven or to discuss the things of God.
Jesus’ coming for His children in the Rapture is imminent. Are
you His child or are you born again? Are you ready for Him?
Come to Jesus Christ the Word of God today and now, for tomorrow
or later may be too late for you.
May the good Lord bless you as you heed
His Word today, act on it and share with others in Jesus’ Merciful Name, Amen.
