IF YOU MUST BOAST

Jeremiah 9:23-24 (AMPC)

“23 Thus says the Lord: Let not the wise and skillful person glory and boast in his wisdom and skill; let not the mighty and powerful person glory and boast in his strength and power; let not the person who is rich [in physical gratification and earthly wealth] glory and boast in his [temporal satisfactions and earthly] riches;

 

24 But let him who glories glory in this: that he understands and knows Me [personally and practically, directly discerning and recognizing My character], that I am the Lord, Who practises loving-kindness, judgment, and righteousness in the earth, for in these things I delight, says the Lord.” [I Cor. 1:31; II Cor. 10:17.]

 

Dear people of God, it is important for human beings to recognize that there is nothing in this world they have that came to them by chance or by luck as many often say.

 

It is important to recognize that for your legitimate work and the accompanying blessings, it is God Who made it happen and you must give Him and Him alone all the glory.

 

Sometimes, you hear people say they are self-made men or self-made women. These same individuals cannot tell you what happens when they are asleep and if death comes knocking, there is nothing they can do to prevent it.

 

So, stop boasting about things you know little or nothing about, which God alone knows. Stop making yourself a demigod that your fellow humans must worship because there is only One God Whom all must worship and He alone is the Creator of the Universe.

 

If your riches have come illegally via sleaze, embezzlement, internet fraud, rituals or the occult, you deceive yourself if you attribute it to God Almighty as the One Who has blessed you.

 

You worsen your plight when you now boast and oppress others using your ill-gotten riches.

 

God cannot be involved in evil and so you must repent and amend your ways before it is too late.

 

As you can see from today’s lead Holy Bible text, anyone who boasts or glories must do so in the Lord God Almighty, acknowledging Him as the One Who has given you legitimate wealth and every spiritual blessing.

 

Your association with the Lord must show in your character in your dealing with fellow humans, which must reflect God’s character of loving-kindness, judgment and righteousness, the very things God delights in.

 

You must humble yourself before God always and give Him all the glory in every area of your life so that others who see you would follow suit and honour the Lord.

 

Jesus’ coming for His children in the Rapture is imminent. Are you His child or are you born again? Are you ready for Him?

 

Come to Jesus Christ the Word of God today and now, for tomorrow or later may be too late for you.

 

May the good Lord bless you as you heed His Word today, act on it and share with others in Jesus’ Merciful Name, Amen.
