“You
have heard that it was said, you shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy;
[Lev. 19:18; Ps. 139:21, 22.]
44 But
I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, [Prov.
25:21, 22.]
45 To
show that you are the children of your Father Who is in heaven;”
Dear people of God, in the first part of
the post on this topic, we did explain with incontrovertible proof from God’s
Word in the Holy Bible in Matthew 11:24-26 the danger in a Christian refusing
to forgive offenses and then praying against his or her human enemies in
violation of God’s Word and how that is a major hindrance to prayers
particularly of the African Christian.
We also showed how anyone who indulges in
such evil prayers would eventually end in eternal damnation in HELL unless he
or she repents genuinely and begins to walk in love toward others as God has
commanded and to pray for God’s Word to reach and arrest all unsaved
individuals before it is too late for them.
I know despite that message, many
Christians who have been brainwashed into hating their fellow Christians and
even non-Christians (some of whom are highly occultic) would continue to argue
to justify why they should pray against their human enemies in violation of God’s
command to love and pray for them.
Such ignorant Christians would quickly
quote the Old Testament Scripture in Exodus 22:18 (KJV), “thou shalt suffer not
a witch to live.”
These same individuals are most likely not aware of
the New Testament Scripture in Acts 19:18-19, (AMPC), “Many also of those who were now
believers came making full confession and thoroughly exposing their
[former deceptive and evil] practices.
19 And
many of those who had practised curious, magical arts collected their books and
[throwing them, book after book, on the pile] burned them in the sight of
everybody. When they counted the value of them, they found it amounted to
50,000 pieces of silver (about $9,300).
20 Thus
the Word of the Lord [concerning the attainment through Christ of eternal
salvation in the kingdom of God] grew and spread and intensified,
prevailing mightily.
This shows the power of God’s Word as a
weapon to arrest and transform even the most stubborn of human minds who are
engaged in occultic practices.
Once again, dear friend, consider today’s
lead Holy Bible text above in Matthew 5:43-45a and you see the Lord Jesus
Christ giving a command that Christians should love their enemies and pray for
those who persecute them.
Take special note also of the fact that
the Lord Jesus Christ says in Matthew 5:45 that when you do these things He has
commanded, you show that you are the children of your Father Who is in heaven.
Is it not evident that the converse of
the Lord’s statement is also true, which is, when you disobey His command but
go ahead to hate your enemies and pray AGAINST those who persecute you that you
show that you are NOT children of your Father Who is in heaven?
Now, since this is correct, if you are
not God’s child when you disobey His command, whose child are you then? Is it
not a child of the devil?
Since the devil has been cast off forever
from heaven, can a child of the devil enter heaven?
Absolutely not!
Once again, you can see why as a
Christian you ALWAYS must walk in love toward others and how failing to do so
would not only hinder your prayers but would eventually end you in eternal
damnation in HELL.
The next time any pastor tells you to
pray against your human enemies, obey what Jesus Christ has commanded and pray
instead for the person(s) that God would send His ministers to preach His Word
to him/her/them and the Word would arrest and transform him/her/them
permanently in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
A Word is enough for the wise.
Jesus’ coming for His children in the Rapture is imminent. Are
you His child or are you born again? Are you ready for Him?
Come to Jesus Christ the Word of God today and now, for tomorrow
or later may be too late for you.
