WHY EVERYONE MUST BE HOLY

Nahum 1:3a (AMPC)

“The Lord is slow to anger and great in power and will by no means clear the guilty.”
 
Dear people of God, no human being must take God for granted. There is no wrongdoing anyone does that escapes God so the idea of having a secret hidden from fellow humans is a waste of time.
 
The idea of saying no human can live a holy life is a false doctrine and a false teaching because it goes against God’s Word in Matthew 5:48.
 
See what God’s Word says in 1 Peter 1:14-17 (AMPC), “[Live] as children of obedience [to God]; do not conform yourselves to the evil desires [that governed you] in your former ignorance [when you did not know the requirements of the Gospel].
 
15 But as the One Who called you is holy, you yourselves also be holy in all your conduct and manner of living.
 
16 For it is written, you shall be holy, for I am holy. [Lev. 11:44, 45.]
 
17 And if you call upon Him as [your] Father Who judges each one impartially according to what he does, [then] you should conduct yourselves with true reverence throughout the time of your temporary residence [on the earth, whether long or short].
 
Dear friend, you can see from God’s Word that His standard of Truth, Holiness and Righteousness remains the same forever for everyone and there is no amount of excuse that can save a professed Christian who lives a double life of sin.
 
If God has showed you mercy to save you and you now belong to Jesus Christ as His child, seek to know through His Word what God expects of His children as we are told today and don’t ever aim to deviate from it because it would not augur well for anyone who does.
 
Jesus’ coming for His children in the Rapture is imminent. Are you His child or are you born again? Are you ready for Him?
 
Come to Jesus Christ the Word of God today and now, for tomorrow or later may be too late for you.
 
May the good Lord bless you as you heed His Word today, act on it and share with others in Jesus’ Most Holy Name, Amen.

HOW DO YOU CONTROL VIOLENCE IN PEOPLE?

Hebrews 12:14 (AMPC)  “ Strive to live in peace with everybody and pursue that consecration  and holiness without which no one will [ever] see the Lord.”   Dear people of God, I read sometime in December 2019 ago of a police inspector in Nigeria who shot and killed his colleague, a corporal, and the same shot injured another colleague, a deputy Superintendent of police after which the police inspector took his own life.   What could have led to such violence?   I also read of another unfortunate story of a lady killed December 25, 2019, Christmas Day, by her husband who had beaten her to a coma and then ran away after discovering what he had done. The police have since found and arrested him.   Reports have it that the man was fond of beating his late wife at the slightest provocation, which has eventually led to her death in this latest incident.   Again, what could have caused this incessant violence?   Medical experts claim that humans have 2 s...

GOD CANNOT VIOLATE HIS WORD

  Psalm 89:34  “My covenant I will not violate, nor will I alter the utterance of My lips.” Dear people of God, today’s lead Bible text in Psalm 89:34 is a profound statement by God Almighty and Father of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. What this statement from God means is that there is nothing He has said in His Word that He will fail to perform. A sensible Christian who understands this will look for what God has said by careful, meditative study of God’s Word found only in the Holy Bible, thank God joyously for it, claim it and God will surely perform what His Word has stated.
