THE ROAD TO HEAVEN

Luke 13:23-24 (AMPC)
“And someone asked Him, Lord, will only a few be saved (rescued, delivered from the penalties of the last judgment, and made partakers of the salvation by Christ)? And He said to them,
 
24 Strive to enter by the narrow door [force yourselves through it], for many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able.”
 
Dear people of God, contrary to what many Christians see and practise today, the road to heaven is very narrow and only few find it.
 
The first step towards entering heaven for every human being is to realize the error of your ways and wrongdoing contrary to God’s Divine command, repent genuinely, confess your sins and ask God in prayer for forgiveness, accept Jesus Christ as the Saviour and Lord of your life and commit in thought, word and deed to uncompromisingly obey all commands of the Lord in His Word in the Holy Bible.
 
All professed Christians claim to have passed this process; however, the last part of the process, committing to love and serve the Lord uncompromisingly is what the Lord Jesus means when He tells you to strive to enter by the narrow door.
 
You cannot enter that door by living a hypocritical double life of sin because that makes mockery of the huge sacrifice God Almighty made in sending Jesus Christ His Son our Lord to come and suffer and die for the sins of all mankind.
 
Jesus Christ rose again on the third day to prove that He is the Messiah.
 
As I mentioned to a friend yesterday who was lamenting about the sinful nature of people, God would NOT because of that lower His standard of Truth, Holiness and Righteousness for anyone.
 
If you have served God for many years and falter in sin just before you die and depart this world, your garment of righteousness is stained and this disqualifies you from entering heaven.
 
Many ministers of the Gospel today are focusing solely on preaching prosperity, God’s blessings, favours, hatred and prayers to kill one’s enemies, business connections, success, etc.
 
But the Creator Jesus Christ says we should seek FIRST the kingdom of God and His righteousness and then, He, Jesus Christ, Who is God would add all these other things – Matthew 6:33.
 
Why do preachers fail to warn their congregation to assess their lives against the unfailing standard of God’s Word?
 
Why do these preachers encourage their congregation in immorality and tolerate indecent and provocative dressing, covetousness, playing and listening to worldly music, marital separation, telling lies, quarrels, divisions, divorce and remarriage, fear of pastors instead of fear of God, inviting comedians to crack ungodly jokes on the altar, why encourage immoral and provocative dancing?
 
Why do these preachers teach their minds and motivational speech instead of God’s Word in the Holy Bible?
 
God does not change and His standard cannot change – Malachi 3:6a; Hebrews 13:8.
 
Every preacher who is preaching only prosperity and materialism should repent and preach Truth, Holiness and Righteousness before it is too late.
 
Any member of a congregation in such church should repent and diligently seek the Truth of God’s Word by personal study before it is too late.
 
Just as someone pointed out, Jesus Christ commanded us in Matthew 28:19-20 to make DISCIPLES of nations and teach them to obey the Lord’s command.
 
Jesus Christ never commanded us to make church members of nations. He said, make disciples and we must obey Jesus Christ for our good.
 
Dear friend, take God’s Word seriously for your own good because His Word is the basis for every human’s judgement.
 
Jesus’ coming for His children in the Rapture is imminent. Are you His child or are you born again? Are you ready for Him?
 
Come to Jesus Christ the Word of God today and now, for tomorrow or later may be too late for you.
 
May the good Lord bless you as you heed His Word today, act on it and share with others in Jesus’ Most Holy Name, Amen.
