THE GREATEST BEING NEVER GIVES APPOINTMENTS TO SEE HIM

Psalm 146:3-5 (AMPC)
Put not your trust in princes, in a son of man, in whom there is no help.

4 When his breath leaves him, he returns to his earth; in that very day his [previous] thoughts, plans, and purposes perish. [I Cor. 2:6.]

5 Happy (blessed, fortunate, enviable) is he who has the God of [special revelation to] Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the Lord his God, [Gen. 32:30.]

Dear people of God, in this world, you always need to book an appointment to see a dignitary or an important personality.

Sometimes, you would need to visit the dignitary severally just to get that appointment because they are usually very busy attending to their personal, family and other humans’ needs.

There is a limit to the number of hours they can work and rest they must!

When you eventually get to see the dignitary, there is a limit to what he or she can do for you because his or her resources are limited.

For some humans, they wouldn’t mind having to visit the dignitary severally just in the hope of getting their requests and when they meet with disappointment, it leaves them hopeless.

When the dignitary dies, all hope fizzles for the person who wanted help from the dignitary.

Not so with God Almighty and Father of my Saviour and Lord Jesus Christ.

God owns the Universe and created it. He loves all humans but hates sin. He gave His only Begotten Son Jesus Christ as a ransom to redeem mankind from sin and its negative eternal effects.

Anyone and I mean anyone who repents genuinely, confesses sin to God in prayer, forsakes sin, accepts Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord and commits to a genuine relationship with God through Jesus Christ by word and deed qualifies to be called a child of God.

Not just that, the child of God qualifies for every covenant promise of God listed in the Holy Bible.

Fortunately for such individual, he or she needs no prior appointment to meet with God.

God already knows all our needs even before we approach Him to ask for anything; He never sleeps, never gets tired, never needs to attend to one person at a time but can attend to billions of people at once at the same time without missing anyone, has unlimited resources, loves you more than any other being and is ever ready to attend to your needs.

God can do this because He is Omnipotent, Omnipresent and Omniscient.

With this amazing information, does it not make sense to trust in God than put your trust in humans?

In fact, see what God says about those who put their trust in humans in Jeremiah 17:5-6 (AMPC), Cursed [with great evil] is the strong man who trusts in and relies on frail man, making weak [human] flesh his arm, and whose mind and heart turn aside from the Lord.

6 For he shall be like a shrub or a person naked and destitute in the desert; and he shall not see any good come, but shall dwell in the parched places in the wilderness, in an uninhabited salt land.”

This Scripture has grave implication for all who put their trust in humans and also anyone who collect bribes, extorts money and seeks gratification from their fellow humans in the course of providing a service. You are already operating under God’s curse because you are practising idolatry and only God can deliver you and that can only happen when you stop engaging in evil acts causing pain and discomfort to others.

On the other hand, God gives this beautiful covenant promise to anyone who trusts ABSOLUTELY in Him as confirmed in Jeremiah 17:7-8 (AMPC), “[Most] blessed is the man who believes in, trusts in, and relies on the Lord, and whose hope and confidence the Lord is.

8 For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters that spreads out its roots by the river; and it shall not see and fear when heat comes; but its leaf shall be green. It shall not be anxious and full of care in the year of drought, nor shall it cease yielding fruit.”

Dear friend, would you rather trust in humans or God?

Today you have the choice and the implication for each one.

As for me and my house, we would trust absolutely in God Who never fails and Who never disappoints. Glory be to His Holy Name forever and ever in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Jesus’ coming for His children in the Rapture is imminent. Are you His child or are you born again? Are you ready for Him?

Come to Jesus Christ the Word of God today and now, for tomorrow or later may be too late for you.

May the good Lord bless you as you heed His Word today, act on it and share with others in Jesus’ Most Holy Name, Amen.

Gabriel Ama.
