SALVATION AND HEALING GO HAND IN HAND

Psalm 107:17-20 (AMPC)
 
“Fools, because of their transgression,
And because of their iniquities, were afflicted.
 
18 Their soul abhorred all manner of food,
And they drew near to the gates of death.
 
19 Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble,
And He saved them out of their distresses.
 
20 He sent His Word and healed them,
And delivered them from their destructions.”
 
Dear people of God, in the Old Testament era, God spoke to His people through the prophets while in New Testament era we currently live in, He speaks to us through His Son our Lord Jesus Christ.
 
This fact is stated in Hebrews 1:1-2.
 
When you examine God’s Word in today’s lead Holy Bible text above, you see a pattern that still plays out today.
 
The Israelites under the Old Testament era sinned against God and were afflicted by the devil. They then cried out to the Lord in their distress. God then sent His Word and healed them and delivered them from their destructions.
 
Under the New Testament era, we see people who are still sinning against God, then expose themselves spiritually to the devil who afflicts them spiritually and even physically.
 
When they cry out in their trouble to the Lord, He saves them out of their distresses by sending His Word in the Person of the Lord Jesus Christ, Who heals them and delivers them from their destructions by His saving Grace.
 
The pattern is similar because it is the same God we are dealing with today as the Israelites encountered in the Old Testament era and God says He does not change – Malachi 3:6a.
 
Under the Old Testament, you could reach God through His prophets but under the New Testament, you can only reach Him through His Son Jesus Christ and this access is available to everyone who believes and accepts God’s Gospel message of Repentance and Salvation found only in Jesus Christ.
 
Since God healed His people in the Old Testament and delivered them from their destructions when they cried out to Him in their distresses, He still heals people today and delivers them from their destructions once they repent genuinely, cry out to Him in prayer and accept the Lord Jesus Christ as their Saviour and Messiah.
 
So, if a medical doctor has told you there is nothing else that could be done for you and you are to die from sickness and disease by whatever name, know today that God still loves you and is willing and able to save you from premature death from sickness and disease only if you are willing to call on Him.
 
Know also today that there is nothing to gain from sin against God and the devil would certainly afflict you spiritually and eventually destroy you if you continue and die in sin without repentance and without having Jesus Christ as your Saviour and Lord.
 
You stand to gain everything and eternal life from having Jesus Christ on your side Including victory over all the works of the devil and nothing shall by any means hurt you – Luke 10:19.
 
Jesus’ coming for His children in the Rapture is imminent. Are you His child or are you born again? Are you ready for Him?
 
Come to Jesus Christ the Word of God today and now, for tomorrow or later may be too late for you.
 
May the good Lord bless you as you heed His Word today, act on it and share with others in Jesus’ Most Holy Name, Amen.
