“For
the grace of God (His unmerited favor and blessing) has come forward (appeared)
for the deliverance from sin and the eternal salvation for all mankind.
12 It
has trained us to reject and renounce all ungodliness (irreligion) and
worldly (passionate) desires, to live discreet (temperate, self-controlled),
upright, devout (spiritually whole) lives in this present world,
13 Awaiting and
looking for the [fulfillment, the realization of our] blessed hope, even the
glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Christ Jesus (the Messiah, the
Anointed One),
14 Who
gave Himself on our behalf that He might redeem us (purchase our freedom) from
all iniquity and purify for Himself a people [to be peculiarly His own, people
who are] eager and enthusiastic about [living a life that is good and
filled with] beneficial deeds.”
Dear people of God, in the first part of this message, we established
that the grace of God in the life of a Christian delivers him or her from sin
and trains the born-again individual to reject and renounce all ungodliness and
worldly desires, to live discreet (temperate, self-controlled), upright,
devout (spiritually whole) lives in this present world.
We established that this grace of God should clearly
differentiate the appearance and dressing of the female Christian from a
prostitute and a male Christian from a gangster as it was in the days of yore because
God’s standard of Holiness and Righteousness has not changed, cannot change and
will never change.
Today, we will further address our Christian sisters on this
matter.
In my short experience of this life, I have come to understand
that there are 2 major reasons many Christian sisters dress immorally like
prostitutes and women of easy virtue inside and out of Church:
(1) the singles do so to attract a husband to marry them
(2) the married ones do so to retain their husbands’ attention on them,
so these husbands do not look outside the home in lust and adultery.
Unfortunately, none of these reasons agree with God’s standard
but rather they are a proof that these women do not have any trust in their
Creator.
Any man who is attracted to an immorally dressed woman cannot be
faithful in marriage because he will be attracted to the next immorally dressed
woman he sees and would surely go after her.
Christian ladies must understand that they are ambassadors of
Christ Jesus and must shine the light of Christ wherever they are, not only in
their dressing but also in their conduct.
Every one of us would spend just a few years here on earth and
an eternity hereafter so what would you have gained in offending God here for a
few years of wanting to gain a man’s attention only to end up in eternal
damnation forever and ever?
Does that even make any sense to you at all?
Why do you seek man’s approval instead of God’s approval? Are
you not aware that you and that man and every other human being would all stand
before God someday to account for all your actions here on earth?
Why are you bothered about what people (family, relatives,
friends, neighbours, acquaintances) would think and say about you when God is
happy with you as an obedient child of His?
What excuse would you give God for appearing in public dressed
immorally, provocatively and exposing your body cleavage meant only for your legally
married spouse whilst claiming to be His child?
The one question God would surely ask you, single lady is “did you
pray to Me (God) concerning a husband and I did not respond?”
For the married ones, God would surely ask you, “did you pray to
Me (God) concerning your husband and I did not respond?”
Dear sister in Christ, there is nothing you want in this life
that God cannot give you, provided it is in line with His will.
By God’s Will, it means what you have asked for in prayer is in
His Word. If it is, God would answer and if it is not, He will tell you why He
cannot answer such prayer.
You only must trust absolutely in God as He has commanded for
your own good. As a single lady searching for a life partner, your prayer to
God is to give you a God-fearing man and wait for God to give you the man. Your
physical appearance and conduct as a woman must be consistent with God’s Word.
Only then can you be guaranteed of a successful marriage as
stated in God’s Word in 1 Peter 3:1-6.
Jesus’ coming for His children in the
Rapture is imminent. Are you His child or are you born again? Are you ready for
Him?
Come to Jesus Christ the Word of God
today and now, for tomorrow or later may be too late for you.
May the good Lord bless you as you
heed His Word today, act on it and share with others in Jesus’ Most Holy Name,
