JESUS TOOK OUR INFIRMITIES AND BORE OUR SICKNESSES AND DISEASES
Matthew 8:17 (AMPC)
“And thus He (Jesus Christ) fulfilled what was spoken by the prophet Isaiah, He Himself took [in order to carry away] our weaknesses and infirmities and bore away our diseases.” [Isa. 53:4.]
Dear people of God, I gave a testimony sometime in 2017 how Almighty God and Father of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ gave me understanding through a book from a Christian friend concerning what transpired at the Cross of Calvary when our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ died for our sins.
Today’s lead Holy Bible text gives that same information, which is that the Lord Jesus not only took our sins, but also our weaknesses, infirmities and diseases.
When I understood and believed this Word, the Lord healed me of a 19-year old illness I battled with.
I then bought copies of the same book and shared with a number of friends including one in his fifties.
This friend was told he had High Blood Pressure (HBP) and was given medication which he was taking on a daily basis.
I shared my miracle healing of the Lord with this friend. Additionally, I told him of a second miracle in my life, which was that even though the doctors had also told me that I would take HBP medication all the days of my life, I had stopped taking them based on my understanding, belief and acceptance of what the Lord did for me.
This friend told me that he would not stop taking his own HBP medication and I did not object because I know it takes faith to believe God’s Word in the Holy Bible.
Only yesterday Monday January 14, 2019, this friend testified to me that he had also stopped taking the HBP medications!
So what had transpired in my friend’s life? it’s very simple. My friend had continued to read the book I gave him and through God’s Holy Spirit, he had come to understand the Truth contained in Matthew 8:17 and believed it.
I know at this point, some, especially the medical professionals may want to argue and say we are running on a suicide mission, and that it is God who gave the pharmacists, doctors and nurses the brain to manufacture medications to treat diagnosed ailments.
Rightly so.
I would not join issues with the medical professionals because again, it would be their level of understanding that drives their comments because out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks – Matthew 12:34.
What I would want everyone reading this piece to recollect and understand is the Word of God in Romans 10:17, “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.”
This is the Truth that many Christians miss, which is that faith comes or is built from constant study and meditation on God’s Word in the Holy Bible.
This is why you must never toy with God’s Word. It is the Game Changer. As the Lord Jesus Christ has said, God’s Words are Spirit and Life – John 6:63b.
When you constantly study, meditate and speak God’s Word over any untoward situation, that situation must give way to God’s Word.
When you constantly meditate on God’s Word, it becomes a living organism inside you because it is Spirit and Life and takes out every impurity inside you.
Dear friend, I thank God for everyone I have had the privilege of sharing God’s Word with, and who have always come back with a testimony of what God has done for them as they believed and acted on it.
The same experience can be yours today if you are ready and willing to obey.
All it takes is for you to drop sinful habits, confess them to God in prayer and forsake them, accept the Lordship of Jesus Christ, study, believe and obey His commandments in the Holy Bible without compromise.
You will surely prosper in every area of your life. I can guarantee you that because my life is a living example of the Truth of God’s Word.
Come today and now to Jesus Christ, for tomorrow or later may be too late.
