HELP FROM THE PIT OF HELL

Proverbs 22:22-23

“22 Rob not the poor [being tempted by their helplessness], neither oppress the afflicted at the gate [where the city court is held],

 

23 For the Lord will plead their cause and deprive of life those who deprive [the poor or afflicted].”

 

Dear people of God, by the grace of Almighty God, I have a spiritual daughter God used me to convert to Christianity some years ago.

 

From time to time, we would discuss the Word of God over the phone and she would tell me how her mum had been oppressing her and asking her to come back to her former congregation, which she has vehemently refused because she has come to know the Truth found only in Christ Jesus my Lord.

 

Sometime in the middle of April 2019, I spoke again to this lady after a long while and she told me how her mum had continued to refuse fending for her and how things had become quite difficult for her financially.

 

I discussed concerning tithes with her and she acknowledged that she had stopped paying tithes because of her financial difficulties. However, I took time to explain to her that there is no financial condition where one is excused from paying tithes as long as money continues to enter your hand.

 

I made her understand that as God’s Word has made clear, when a Christian pays tithes in obedience to God’s commandments that would take such person out of poverty for life because God made the promise to bless the person and God cannot fail– Malachi 3:10-12.

 

She acknowledged her errors and promised to take tithes payment seriously from then on.

 

In the course of our discussion, this lady told me how several men had all promised to help her and all of them had one condition, which was to take her to bed. She even narrated how one collected her job resume from her and asked her to enter his vehicle to go somewhere to discuss, only for him to take her to a hotel for the same sinful reason of wanting to take her to bed.

 

The man tried severally to convince her to join him in the hotel room but again as before in other cases, she refused to succumb to the man’s evil intention and told him to take his job and the man dropped her off.

 

My spiritual daughter further told me how her female friends told her that for all the jobs they had, they had slept with the men who gave them the job and so they couldn't understand why she was refusing to tow the same line.

 

They ended by telling her to sit and wait for a miracle that they knew would never come!!

 

Dear friend, with this narrative above, one can see the rottenness of SOME of today’s youths who are unconcerned about their relationship with God or where they would spend their eternity after the present life.

 

What concerns them the most is how to give their bodies over to ungodly men to use for the sake of help NOW from the pit of hell.

 

By God’s grace I have helped several men and women out of pity and the fear of God and obedience to God’s commands. Not once have I taken advantage of them because it is a grievous sin against God punishable by UNTIMELY death as today’s lead Holy Bible text above makes us understand.

 

Of course, a large number of those I have helped have taken advantage of my kindness to them but I did not hold it against them. What they have succeeded in doing is closing the door to any other help I would have given to them, but that is not the topic for today.

 

The question is, why do so many people today, the menfolk especially, want to play god in the lives of the needy and oppress them?

 

Why are they interested in destroying innocent lives and even their own lives in the process because of no fear of God?

 

Do they not know that God Almighty and Father of my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ sees and knows all things and sees their hearts that they are taking undue advantage of others?

 

I have a word of advice to every lady out there reading this who believes her life is in the hands of a man who has to sleep with her to offer her help. What you are doing is destroying your destiny and sending yourself to an eternal damnation in HELL if you die in fornication or adultery.

 

Your body is the temple of God’s Holy Spirit and so you should never defile God’s temple with sins of the flesh. In case you are unaware, a sin of the body is not a work of the devil but a sin of your own flesh to which you have yielded, and it is within your power to stop it and come out of it before it is too late.

 

You must also understand that God Almighty has more than enough resources to cater for every single human being He has created, so it is not a matter of scarce resources from God to help everyone.

 

It is simply a matter of ignorance of God’s commandments and failure to either obey or act on them that causes Christians to suffer avoidable hardships.

 

One who is not a Christian is under the power of the devil who would always take advantage of him or her to cause hardships through poverty sickness and spiritual affliction.

 

For a Christian, the devil tries everything to discourage you from believing, trusting and serving God and three ways the devil does this is by causing poverty, spiritual affliction and sickness.

 

The Christian who is living a life of righteous obedience to God’s commands in the Holy Bible and who knows and acts on his rights as a child of God would always overcome the works of the devil.

 

Dear friend, in life there are always options. Don’t sell your soul to the devil for a pot of porridge because it would finish and you would always have to run back to the devil for more help from the pit of hell, which would eventually land you there in HELL forever when you die in sin.

 

On the other hand, the option of coming out of sin, confessing to God and forsaking sin, accepting the Lordship of Jesus Christ over your life and then faithfully obeying and acting on Jesus’ commands in the Holy Bible would not only ensure total victory for you on this earth but also give you an assurance of eternity in heaven when you die.

 

For as it is written in Proverbs 14:32, “The wicked is overthrown through his wrongdoing and calamity, but the [consistently] righteous has hope and confidence even in death.”
