SEEK FIRST GOD’S KINGDOM AND HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS (5)

 Matthew 6:31-33 (AMPC)

“Therefore do not worry and be anxious, saying, What are we going to have to eat? or, What are we going to have to drink? or, What are we going to have to wear?

 

32 For the Gentiles (heathen) wish for and crave and diligently seek all these things, and your heavenly Father knows well that you need them all.

 

33 But seek (aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right), and then all these things taken together will be given you besides.”

 

Dear people of God, we are considering the fifth part of this series today in respect of the conditions precedent as seeking FIRST God’s kingdom and His righteousness in order to obtain His eternal blessings.

 

Today, we will consider the Law of confession, having looked previously at the Laws of Repentance, Salvation, Obedience and Love.

 

By confession, I mean the words we speak everyday whether to others or to ourselves. A lot of people speak negative and careless words because they do not understand the power of words over their lives.

 

For you to understand how words work, I want you to know today that satan and his agents use spells or incantations as their main tool of operation over innocent and ignorant folks and these negative words affect those upon whom they pour it.

 

Also, those who crack expensive jokes using abusive words over others and running them down are also operating the same pattern as satan and his agents because over time, those words would affect their victims when they unconsciously accept it.

 

This is why Christians must learn to use words to speak life into their situations no matter what it is. The Word of God tells us in Proverbs 18:21, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they who indulge in it shall eat the fruit of it [for death or life].”

 

The best Words to speak as a Christian are those concerning you in the Holy Bible. This is because the Lord Jesus says His Words are Spirit and they are Life.

 

When you speak God’s Word, you are activating life into your situation. It does not matter how bad you believe your situation is.

 

When you are in right standing with God, just look for His Word concerning your situation and speak it. Do not stop speaking it until it comes to pass in your life. Meditate on it and speak it consciously and unconsciously.

 

When you understand this simple fact, never again would you allow negative words to ever come out of your mouth. Never again would you allow anyone to speak negative words to you without you countering it with what you want to see in your life.

 

May the good Lord bless you as you heed His Word today, act on it and share with others in Jesus’ Most Powerful Name, Amen.

HOW DO YOU CONTROL VIOLENCE IN PEOPLE?

Hebrews 12:14 (AMPC)  “ Strive to live in peace with everybody and pursue that consecration  and holiness without which no one will [ever] see the Lord.”   Dear people of God, I read sometime in December 2019 ago of a police inspector in Nigeria who shot and killed his colleague, a corporal, and the same shot injured another colleague, a deputy Superintendent of police after which the police inspector took his own life.   What could have led to such violence?   I also read of another unfortunate story of a lady killed December 25, 2019, Christmas Day, by her husband who had beaten her to a coma and then ran away after discovering what he had done. GOD CANNOT VIOLATE HIS WORD

  Psalm 89:34  “My covenant I will not violate, nor will I alter the utterance of My lips.” Dear people of God, today’s lead Bible text in Psalm 89:34 is a profound statement by God Almighty and Father of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. What this statement from God means is that there is nothing He has said in His Word that He will fail to perform.
