SEEK FIRST GOD’S KINGDOM AND HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS (10)

Matthew 6:31-33 (AMPC)

“Therefore do not worry and be anxious, saying, What are we going to have to eat? or, What are we going to have to drink? or, What are we going to have to wear?

32 For the Gentiles (heathen) wish for and crave and diligently seek all these things, and your heavenly Father knows well that you need them all.

33 But seek (aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right), and then all these things taken together will be given you besides.”

Dear people of God, today we look at the last in series of messages under this same topic.

This is the law of Evangelism as a condition to fulfil in Seeking First God’s Kingdom and His righteousness so God can bless the individual with his needs and wants.

When God says we should first seek His Kingdom, He is referring to expanding the population of His children on earth by snatching them out of the kingdom of darkness represented by the devil, demons and their humans agents and into the Kingdom of Light represented by God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit and Christians.

You snatch these lost souls from the kingdom of darkness by sharing in Evangelism the Gospel of Repentance and Salvation for all mankind found only in Jesus Christ the Messiah.

Evangelism can be done physically in groups or virtually online through various social media channels available today.

You can share Scriptures daily, post Christian Gospel videos, or Christian Gospel articles as I am doing all in a bid to get the attention of prospective candidates of heaven who are lost out there in need of a Saviour in the Person of Jesus Christ.

Having sowed the seed of God’s Word into the lives of prospects in Evangelism, you have to follow up with your physical contacts through visitation and with your virtual contacts by regular messages whilst also praying for the Holy Spirit to convict them and for them to yield to God’s Word to become His children for their eternal good.

It is pertinent to note, however, that for you to be able to accurately share the right Message of the Gospel, you must know God’s Word personally for yourself through daily personal study of the Holy Bible, meditation and prayer.

As the Holy Spirit speaks to you, your life - thoughts, words, actions and reactions will certainly align with God’s Word and it would reflect in your Evangelism efforts and your relationship with others who would see Christ in you and be encouraged to listen to you and accept Jesus Christ as their Saviour and obey Him as their Lord.

It is also important to note here that not everyone will respond positively to the Gospel as you preach to them because God has given everyone FREEWILL to do whatsoever they decide here on earth but every human would someday eventually account to God for their actions whether they were aware of it or not.

So rather than be afraid or discouraged about those who reject the Gospel when you share with them, concentrate on the underlisted:

(1) God’s UNCONDITIONAL love for you when He sent His only Begotten Son Jesus Christ to die for the sins of all mankind including yours and be grateful to Him for saving you and removing you from the kingdom of darkness into His marvelous Kingdom of Light in Jesus Christ. (John 3:16-18; Colossians 1:13-14).

(2) Your love for God as a great privilege He has granted you (Psalm 31:23) and this love should be your motivation to work with Him to save others as He worked with other Believers to save you even while you were previously still a sinner.

(3) God’s command to ALL His disciples all over the world to take the Gospel to all nations and make disciples of them in Christ Jesus and warn them through constant preaching (Matthew 28:18-20) of the dangers of returning to sin and dying in sin, the eternal value of becoming and remaining a Christian until the end of your stay here on earth.

(4) The fact that Jesus Christ also died not just for Christians alone but the entire mankind (Romans 5:8) so if any non-Christian having heard the Gospel rejects it, dies in sin and goes to HELL forever, Jesus will be most sad and would tell whichever Christian assigned to that soul to account for the lost soul.

(5) No labour you undertake for the Lord is wasted (1 Corinthians 15:58) but always carries a reward for you here on earth and in the hereafter.

That reward here on earth for Evangelism is what is the topic of discussion today taken from God’s Word above as a condition to bless His children.

Dear friend, it is in your own best interest to heed God’s command on Evangelism because every human soul is precious to God and nothing in this world can be compared to a human soul or exchanged for it with material things here on earth that would eventually perish but God’s Word remains forever - Matthew 24:35.

Jesus says if you truly love Him, then you MUST keep His commandments - John 14:5.

Jesus’ blessings is GUARANTEED for everyone who genuinely and uncompromisingly obeys Him in all aspects of life.

May the good Lord bless you as you heed His Word today, act on it and share with others in Jesus’ Most Righteous Name, Amen.

Gabriel Ama.
