THE EVIL SPIRIT THAT CONTROLS ALL UNSAVED HUMAN BEINGS

Ephesians 6:11-12 (AMPC)
 “11 Put on God's whole armour [the armour of a heavy-armed soldier which God supplies], that you may be able successfully to stand up against [all] the strategies and the deceits of the devil.
 
12 For we are not wrestling with flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents], but against the despotisms, against the powers, against [the master spirits who are] the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spirit forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) sphere.”
 
 
Dear people of God, I have sometimes heard some people claim that the devil does not exist and that there is nothing like a demonic spirit.
 
Well, today’s lead Holy Bible text talks about the devil and also about evil or demonic spirits.
 
When the Lord Jesus Christ appeared in a vision to the late charismatic pastor Kenneth E. Hagin in 1952, Jesus told him that the spirit that operates in the lives of unsaved people and controls them is the one referred to in above Scripture as the “master spirits who are the world rulers of this present darkness.”
 
The Lord Jesus made it clear that this is the highest form of evil spirit operating in this world and is responsible for all the destructive habits unsaved individuals engage in such as immorality, murder, kidnapping, adultery, fornication, theft, malice, gossip, calumny, and so and so forth.
 
The simple question to ask now is, who is an unsaved person? An unsaved is someone who has not yet accepted the Lordship of Jesus Christ; in essence, the person is not yet born again or is not yet a believer in Jesus Christ as the Messiah.
 
As a result, God’s Holy Spirit cannot come into the person’s life and the person is therefore possessed with the evil spirit also called the “rulers of the darkness of this world.”
 
For those who like to give excuse that it is the devil making them do what they do, they are partially correct. However, it is pertinent to note that every human being has a will power given by God, and evil spirits can only possess someone when the person has permitted the evil spirit.
 
It is for this reason that no human has an excuse to say it was the devil that made him do it. Rather, he FIRST permitted the evil spirit to enter him and control him to do the evil deeds.
 
How does this happen? It begins with a negative thought the person allows to fester in his mind. Once the person considers and accepts the negative thought, he gives a LEGAL right to the devil to possess him and it is this same foul spirit that first enters the person and then makes way for other lesser but equally evil spirits (principalities and powers) to possess the person.
 
This is why the demoniac as recorded in Mark 5:1-13 had about 2,000 evil spirits in him. The main evil spirit was called legion.
 
Sometime in 2019, I read the story of a 45-year old man who used a pistol to threaten his mother and then raped her. The mother says that was the second time it happened from her son.
 
At his age, the man is unmarried and living alone with his mother.
 
The man said there was a heavy rainfall and he now had the ungodly urge to sleep with a female and his mother was his choice. After he was apprehended and confessed to the ungodly act, he said it was the alcohol he took that influenced him do it.
 
The urge to sleep with his mother was caused by the evil spirit in him, which he had permitted the first time the evil thought came into his mind and he willingly conceived the idea and executed the evil act. So he has no excuse and neither does anyone who commits evil.
 
So now that we know the problem, what is the solution? The solution is simple, which is to repent genuinely of sin (change your mind), and surrender your life to Jesus Christ.
 
This is the ONLY solution available to every human being because as the Holy Bible tells about Believers in Christ Jesus in Colossians 1:13-14 (AMPC), [God The Father] has delivered and drawn us to Himself out of the control and the dominion of darkness and has transferred us into the kingdom of the Son of His love,
 
14 In Whom we have our redemption through His blood, [which means] the forgiveness of our sins.
 
So it means when you are in Christ as a believer and therefore his child, the powers of darkness cannot dominate or control you, unless of course you again permit them by succumbing to your flesh.
 
I will explain so you can understand the difference.
 
With an unbeliever, he is unable to PERSONALLY do anything about the demons that control him after possession of his HUMAN SPIRIT OR INNER MAN to make him do the evil acts he or she does.
 
It is only a believer in Christ that can use God’s divine power through the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ to help the unbeliever and drive out the evil spirit IF the unbeliever willingly allows it.
 
However, with the believer in Christ as a born again Christian, he is a new creation in Christ and his HUMAN SPIRIT is now renewed with the Spirit of God when he becomes saved in Christ. So an evil spirit cannot possess his HUMAN SPIRIT unlike the case of an unbeliever.
 
But when the believer either deliberately or through ignorance of his rights in Christ permits an evil spirit to oppress his body he is ABLE PERSONALLY TO USE HIS AUTHORITY WITH THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST to cast out the demon(s) possessing his BODY to make him do evil acts.
 
So dear friend, you can see today that there is absolutely nothing to gain from being separated from Christ because the devil and his demons would surely control you to do evil.
 
When you are in Christ, the devil cannot control or dominate you. I therefore urge you to take that bold and right decision to leave the world of sin and evil spirit domination and come back to Christ Who ALONE is the guarantee of your victory here on earth and eternal life with Him in Heaven.
 
Come today and now, for tomorrow and later may be too late for you.
