2 And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you if you heed the voice of the Lord your God.”
Dear people of God, it is always irritating to hear ignorant and mischievous professing Christians claim that God’s Holy Spirit led them to beg another person for financial help.
Now picture this scenario – you know a very wealthy man’s family including his son in a personal capacity and you are fully aware that this son does not have any disagreements with his father but one day, the young man comes to meet you to beg for money, what would be your reaction?
You’d be shocked, wouldn’t you? This is more so when you are certain that father and son have no known disagreements between them.
Now, picture a scenario where this father learns that his son that has unlimited access to his resources has left that access and is going about begging for help. How do you think the father would react?
Of course not only would this father be shocked but he would also feel insulted at his son’s action!
Dear friend, this is exactly how ignorant Christians insult God when they tell lies that they were led by God’s Spirit to go and beg other Christians or even non-Christians. How on earth can someone ever come up with such story?
This is a lie against the Holy Spirit and such person must repent before it is too late!!
Is God our Father limited by resources? Not at all. See what God says in Psalm 50:10-12 “For every beast of the forest is Mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills or upon the mountains where thousands are.
11 I know and am acquainted with all the birds of the mountains, and the wild animals of the field are Mine and are with Me, in My mind.
12 If I were hungry, I would not tell you, for the world and its fullness are Mine.”
Has God stopped being generous? The Bible says every good gift and every perfect gift is from Him – James 1:17.
Have Christians fallen out of favour with God? Galatians 3:29 says, “And if you belong to Christ [are in Him Who is Abraham's Seed], then you are Abraham's offspring and [spiritual] heirs according to promise.”
Clearly, Galatians 3:29 tells us that the pre-determined destiny of a Christian on this earth is spiritual and material prosperity because this is what God promised Abraham and his seed forever and Christians are Abraham’s offspring.
So where lies the problem with Christians accessing this unlimited God-given wealth? Ignorance and unbelief.
First, very many Christians have been indoctrinated over the years to despise the very wealth that they need to attend to their financial obligations. They have been taught to see a wealthy person as dishonest and that poverty is synonymous with humility.
Yet, this same wealth is required to propagate the Gospel message to the entire world as God has commanded in Mark 16:15. If you despise the very thing that is required to propagate the Gospel and also attend to your financial obligations, how would it ever come to you?
Second, a number of Christians believe tithes belong to the Old Testament and we are not to pay tithes. This ignorance invokes God’s curse on the person (Malachi 3:9) and opens the door to satan the devourer to afflict and cause untold hardship in their lives – Malachi 3:11.
Unbelief makes the person fail to see God’s unchanging promise in Malachi 3:10 where God covenants to open the windows of heaven to pour out a blessing upon the person once the person obeys to pay tithes, first-fruits, offerings and contributions to Kingdom projects.
Someone may argue and say, how come there are non-Christians who prosper even without paying tithes? The simple answer is that the non-Christian is already in satan’s camp and destined to an eternal damnation so satan does not focus on such people but only on those who are qualified to enter heaven – the Christians – to ensure they are destabilized in every area of their lives to make them doubt God and sin against Him.
The truth is, satan can only successfully hinder a Christian when the Christian permits it because God has given ALL Christians authority over all powers of satan and his agents – Luke 10:19.
Third, another group of ignorant Christians believe God is using their financial difficulties to pass a message to them. How can a loving Father Who wants us above all things to prosper and be in health even as our souls prosper (3 John 1:2) now inflict hardship on us?
Is that not contradictory? But we are told that God is not an Author of confusion – 1 Corinthians 14:33 - so where do these Christians get their wrong ideas from?
Dear friend, let me make it clear to you today that God is not the cause of hardships a Christian experiences. It is satan and so stop blaming God and stop telling lies against Him by going to beg others for financial help.
The Bible says there is a curse on a person who puts his trust in his fellow human and whose heart and mind are turned aside from God – Jeremiah 17:5 (AMPC).
It is ignorance, unbelief and disobedience of God’s commandments that is responsible for the hardships that some Christians experience.
Turn to God’s Word today and now in study, meditation, belief, obedience and action (consistent confession or physical action) and see whether your financial situation would not improve.
Remember God’s Word says in 1 Thessalonians 5:21 (AMPC), “But test and prove all things [until you can recognize] what is good; [to that] hold fast.”
The choice is yours. What I know is that God’s Word can never fail as I have proven it severally in my life and the life of others whose testimonies I share from time to time in my posts here.
