FEAR NOT, CHRISTIANS

2 Timothy 1:7 (AMPC)
“For God did not give us a spirit of timidity (of cowardice, of craven and cringing and fawning fear), but [He has given us a Spirit] of power and of love and of calm and well-balanced mind and discipline and self-control.”
 
Dear people of God, as a result of the sin of disobedience of our first parents Adam and Eve to God’s command, sin and death (spiritual and physical) entered into this world.
 
Thank God however, for the Lord Jesus Christ Who in His unfathomable love for us left His Glorious Throne in Heaven to come to earth as a human being to die for our sins to restore spiritual life to all Who believe what Christ did, accept and become born-again Christians.
 
However, every human being born into this world is destined to die at some point. God has allotted a timeline for everyone to live on this earth – Psalm 139:16.
 
I want you to know, dear friend, that even though God has given everyone a timeline to live on this earth, the devil can cut it short. There is proof of this in the Bible Book of Job 2:6 where God pwermits the devil to afflict Job with sickness but to spare his life.
 
I have explained in an earlier post that God PERMITTED the devil to do this to Job because Job violated God’s Word by living in FEAR of the worst that could happen to him and the worst indeed happened to him – Job 3:25.
 
Now, the devil can take someone’s life before his time either by sickness, accident or spiritual affliction.
 
This can happen to anyone who intentionally or unintentionally violates God’s Word either through wilful sin or ignorance.
 
Whether through sin or ignorance, the person opens the door LEGALLY to the devil to afflict him and the devil would always come in through the door to afflict the person because his work is to kill, to steal and to destroy – John 10:10.
 
Anyone of knowledgeable age can understand when I say a door is opened to the devil through a person’s sin because that is a clear violation of God’s Word. Examples of sin are stealing, lying, indecent dressing, listening to immoral music, watching immoral videos, reading immoral literature, bitterness, unforgiveness, resentment, malice, murder, calumny, treachery, apostasy, heresy, etc.
 
There is the case of ignorance, which also opens the door to the devil to afflict a person, which is when a person is operating in either FEAR, or DOUBT, or UNBELIEF, or WORRY or ANXIETY.
 
It does not matter whether you believe it or not but this is what happens to many people in this world, which gives the devil the free reign to do with them as he pleases, especially to Christians because they are the ONLY enemies of the devil and he knows it.
 
When Jesus died on the Cross of Calvary, He destroyed ALL the works of the devil that held mankind hostage – Colossians 2:14.
 
In essence, Jesus took away our sins, sicknesses and diseases (Matthew 8:17; 1 Peter 2:24), delivering us completely from the control and dominion of the powers of darkness (Colossians 1:13-14).
 
Only few Christians are aware of this fact, again, another reason why the devil holds majority hostage.
 
What majority of Christians also do not know or even understand is that the dominion God gave mankind which Adam and Eve lost to the devil through sin was again restored to mankind at the Cross of Calvary when Jesus shed His precious blood for us and resurrected 3 days later.
 
This dominion means dominion even over all the devil’s tricks and antics. Jesus gave this information in Luke 10:19 (AMPC), “Behold! I have given you authority and power to trample upon serpents and scorpions, and [physical and mental strength and ability] over all the power that the enemy [possesses]; and nothing shall in any way harm you.”
 
Jesus says in the last line that NOTHING SHALL IN ANY WAY HARM YOU.
 
This is a decree from God and God’s Word is forever settled in Heaven (Psalm 119:89) as spoken on earth by Jesus Christ the Son of God.
 
If you are ignorant of this authority God has given you, the devil will successfully afflict you. if you are aware of this authority but you don’t exercise it, the devil, again, would successfully afflict you.
 
This is why Christians get sickness and some even die from sickness before their God-allotted time here on earth and some ignorant Christians would say God has called the person home to heaven.
 
How can God call someone home through sickness when Jesus took away our sicknesses and diseases on the Cross of Calvary?
 
If you are living in sin as a Christian, the devil would successfully afflict you.
 
If you are living a righteous Christian life of no compromise in obedience to God’s commands in the Holy Bible, BUT operating under ignorance in fear, doubt, unbelief, worry or anxiety, the devil will successfully afflict you.
 
Therefore, as a Christian, you have no business with any of these emotions because the devil will afflict you as your enemy.
 
So what do you do? You must RESIST the devil using the Name of Jesus Christ, and the devil would FLEE – 1 Peter 5:8-10.
 
Dear friend, the so called coronavirus 'plandemic' is a typical example of a creation of the devil and his agents. Now, there is so much hysteria about this pandemic that is causing a lot of people, Christians inclusive to live in fear.
 
Thank God I have told you why you cannot afford to live in fear because of what the devil would do to you as his enemy.
 
I have also told you how to resist the devil using the Name of Jesus Christ by a simple command. You also have the blood of Jesus, the Holy Ghost fire, and the Word of God or Sword of the Spirit as other weapons of spiritual warfare to wield against the devil successfully.
 
I have also shown you why you cannot as a Christian live a double life of sin. Finally, I have shown you from Scriptures also how that as a Christian, God has given you authority and power over ALL the works of the devil and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
 
Are you going to believe the fear and hysteria the media is sending out concerning coronavirus and other sicknesses and diseases or are you going to believe what God has said in His Word concerning you as His child, a Christian?
 
Decide for yourself if you want to leave this world before your God-allotted time or whether you want to remain here to complete the work God has assigned to you to accomplish in taking the Gospel of Repentance and Salvation only in Jesus Christ to the entire world.
 
Do not allow fear to destroy you because the devil would surely strike you.
 
As for the non-Christians, my simple advice to you is to come over to the camp of God through His Son our Lord Jesus Christ so that the devil cannot afflict you and cause untold harm.
 
Any non-Christian is already in the devil’s camp so the devil would not bother touching you or he could just decide to take you out of this world very easily because a non-Christian cannot exercise any authority whatsoever against the devil.
 
May the good Lord bless you as you heed His Word today, act on it and share with others in Jesus’ Most Powerful Name, Amen.
