“18 Many also of those who were now believers came making full confession and thoroughly exposing their [former deceptive and evil] practices.
19 And many of those who had practised curious, magical arts collected their books and [throwing them, book after book, on the pile] burned them in the sight of everybody. When they counted the value of them, they found it amounted to 50,000 pieces of silver (about $9,300).
20 Thus the Word of the Lord [concerning the attainment through Christ of eternal salvation in the Kingdom of God] grew and spread and intensified, prevailing mightily.
Dear people of God, we started the first part of this post and explained how the devil can hold believers in ransom as a result of previous covenants entered into whether wilfully or mistakenly.

Even when you become born again, recall I have stated in a previous post that it is your spirit, the REAL YOU, that becomes born again, while your soul and body are not yet born again.
If before you became born again you had inadvertently entered into a demonic covenant with the devil, your soul (mind, will and emotion) remains tied to the devil and until it is broken, there is nothing God can do for you because God Almighty and Father of my Saviour and Lord Jesus Christ is a respecter of covenants.
This explains why many Christian married couples are childless even when medical science says there is nothing wrong with them. This explains why many Christian bachelors and spinsters are single.
This explains why many Christians are struggling financially.
Once you give your life sincerely to Jesus Christ to become a Christian and obey Him uncompromisingly in every area of your life, you automatically become the devil’s enemy and the devil will do everything possible to frustrate you out of your genuine relationship with Jesus Christ.
The devil does this by putting spiritual obstacles and he would have a LEGITIMATE hold over you as long as you have a spiritual covenant with him, whether you are aware of it or not.
This is why it is so important for you to know God’s Word and how to deal with such issues.
The Bible tells us that it is the Word of God ROOTED AND IMPLANTED in our hearts that contains the power to save the soul – James 1:21.
Below is the right step to break any covenant you have entered into with the devil whether knowingly or unknowingly once you have become born again and made up your mind to serve the Lord Jesus Christ genuinely:
· You must first ensure to know all such covenants, and you must ensure to discuss with your parents, grandparents and relatives to find out the ungodly family practices they engaged in, in the name of protection or whatsoever.
· Then, take a 3-day fast, and in prayer, first worship and thank God sincerely for the opportunity He had given you to become His child and a new creation in Christ Jesus as stated in 2 Corinthians 5:17.
· Tell God that His Word says in Colossians 1:13-14 that He has delivered you from the control and dominion of ALL powers of darkness and He has transferred you into the Kingdom of His Son your Lord Jesus Christ, in Whom you have redemption through His blood, even the forgiveness of sins.
· Then, mention one by one these evil covenants you wrongly entered into with the devil in your past life of sin, repent sincerely of them as you confess to God in prayer and ask for God’s forgiveness – 1 John 1:9.
· Then using the Precious Blood of Jesus Christ and the Name of Jesus Christ, confess with your mouth that you break and detach yourself from every single evil covenants with the devil and its negative effects on your life.
· Rededicate your life, your family members and all that concerns you to God Almighty and promise God to obey His Word in the Holy Bible and never again to enter into such ungodly practices again.
· Thank and worship God again for His love for you and His answer to your prayers.
· If you have any article that previously tied you in the evil covenant with the devil, you must gather all such articles and burn them to ashes as proof to God that you have detached yourself completely from the devil.
Examples of such articles include chieftaincy items (cap, walking stick, elephant tusk, beads, bangles, chains, etc), rings, charms, amulets, oils, and whatever else given to you by the voodoo priest to hold and use.

If you fail to do this, just know that you have only wasted your time in undertaking the preceding tasks listed above and that you are still tied to the devil’s covenant.
If on the other you obey and do as advised, then be sure that the covenant is broken and forever broken because the Precious Blood of Jesus Christ and the Name of Jesus Christ contain enormous power to break all ungodly covenants with the devil no matter how grievous.
Make sure you study God’s Word, believe it, meditate on it and obey what it says because the devil would mark you as an archenemy and would never stop trying to bring you down and make you fall again.
As long as you have God’s Word, the Sword of the Spirit, you can successfully move close to God, resist the devil and he would flee – James 4:7-8; 1 Peter 5:8-9.
There is ABSOLUTELY no power greater than Jesus Christ.
This is why you cannot afford to live your life without being a Christian. This is also why as a Christian you cannot afford to live a careless life of sin while professing Christ.
Jesus Christ is coming shortly to take ONLY those who are qualified according to His righteous standards in the Holy Bible.
Are you living a genuine life as His disciple? Are you ready for Him? Come to Jesus today, for tomorrow may be too late for you.
