ALLOW GOD’S WORD TO REGISTER ON YOUR HEART

“Be careful how you think; your life is shaped by your thoughts.”
 
Dear people of God, the most powerful resource in this world available to every human being is the Word of God in the Holy Bible.
 
However, it is also sad and unfortunate to note that majority of humans, very many Christians inclusive, fail to adhere to and use the power of God’s Word to their own advantage.
 
Today’s lead Holy Bible text says that our lives are shaped by our thoughts.
 
The way to harness the power in the Word of God is by meditation, that is, thinking on it after a careful study.
 
Since our lives are shaped by our thoughts, does it not make great sense for a person’s thoughts to be about God’s Word, which contains enormous power?
 
Should that not tell us that humans should study God’s Word to know what it says concerning us?
 
Thinking in line with God’s Word is one of the most arduous task a human can embark on because we are constantly assaulted daily with wrong thoughts from various sources orchestrated by the devil and his agents.
 
The main reason the devil and his demons assault Christians with wrong thoughts is because they know that there is absolute power in the Word of God.
 
The devil himself also knows that a person’s life is shaped by his thoughts and so he would do all to distract that person from thinking power and life giving thoughts derived from God’s Word.
 
It is absolutely amazing how many Christians claim to believe in God but know very little about Him, all because they fail to study His Word in the Holy Bible day after day except perhaps on Sundays for a short while during Church service.
 
What many Christians want to always see is a manifestation of God’s power. That only happens as the Holy Spirit wills and not as the minister wills.
 
On the other hand, the power of God’s Word is made manifest always whenever it is spoken out by anyone who believes in God. But you can only speak out that which you have internalized through meditation.
 
Whenever I hear people talking about memorizing Scriptures in the Bible, I know they do not understand that it is an exercise in futility.
 
Memorizing Scriptures is like studying for an examination, sitting for the actual examination and thereafter forgetting all you have studied.
 
But when you study the Bible and think about it, it moves from your memory to your soul (mind, will and emotion).
 
The result of this activity of study and meditation is always visible for everyone to see because the person’s life becomes shaped in the right direction by his thoughts and words he speaks since they are a product of God’s Word internalized.
 
Dear friend, stop distracting yourself with happenings around the world today – covid-19, famine, natural disasters, crimes and all of that.
 
Always make it a daily habit to take time out of the distractions of social media, print media and television and focus solely on God’s Word.
 
Your life would be better off because God’s Word, Jesus Christ, has said so in John 16:33.
 
Jesus Christ is coming shortly to take ONLY those who are qualified according to His righteous standards in the Holy Bible.
Are you living a genuine life as His disciple? Are you ready for Him? Come to Jesus today, for tomorrow may be too late for you.


May the good Lord bless you as you heed His Word today, act on it and share with others in Jesus’ Most Holy Name, Amen.

HOW DO YOU CONTROL VIOLENCE IN PEOPLE?

Hebrews 12:14 (AMPC)  “ Strive to live in peace with everybody and pursue that consecration  and holiness without which no one will [ever] see the Lord.”   Dear people of God, I read sometime in December 2019 ago of a police inspector in Nigeria who shot and killed his colleague, a corporal, and the same shot injured another colleague, a deputy Superintendent of police after which the police inspector took his own life.   What could have led to such violence?   I also read of another unfortunate story of a lady killed December 25, 2019, Christmas Day, by her husband who had beaten her to a coma and then ran away after discovering what he had done. GOD CANNOT VIOLATE HIS WORD

  Psalm 89:34  “My covenant I will not violate, nor will I alter the utterance of My lips.” Dear people of God, today’s lead Bible text in Psalm 89:34 is a profound statement by God Almighty and Father of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. What this statement from God means is that there is nothing He has said in His Word that He will fail to perform. A sensible Christian who understands this will look for what God has said by careful, meditative study of God’s Word found only in the Holy Bible, thank God joyously for it, claim it and God will surely perform what His Word has stated.
