ARE YOU PREPARED FOR JESUS’ SECOND COMING?

Revelation 3:3 (AMPC) “ So call to mind the lessons you received and heard; continually lay them to heart  and obey them, and repent. In case you will not rouse yourselves  and keep awake  and watch , I will come upon you like a thief, and you will not know  or suspect at what hour I will come.”   Dear people of God, the world shut down in 2020 from so many unimportant and ungodly activities as a result of the scare occasioned by the coronavirus pandemic or plandemic as we have come to know it.   However, Heaven never suspended its all-important program of Jesus’ imminent return to earth to take away the saints who are ready and qualified for the Rapture.   Indeed, no force in hell can stop Heaven’s program. The devil and his agents know this and that is why they continue to marshal out ungodly programs that are meant to cause distractions to the world and Christians inclusive, one of  which is the covid-19 pandemic.   Dear friend, as you we...

MAJOR DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE OLD TESTAMENT AND THE NEW TESTAMENT (2)

Hebrews 8:6-7 (AMPC)  “ But as it now is, He [Christ] has acquired a [priestly] ministry which is as much superior  and more excellent [than the old] as the covenant (the agreement) of which He is the Mediator (the Arbiter, Agent) is superior  and more excellent, [because] it is enacted  and rests upon more important (sublimer, higher, and nobler) promises.   7 For if that first covenant had been without defect, there would have been no room for another one  or an attempt to institute another one.” Dear friend, in the first part of this post, we saw a number of major differences between the Old Testament and New Testament.   We saw that the Old Testament was given by God as a law for the Jews practising Judaism whilst the New Testament is given by God as a law for Christians and indeed the entire world.   God expects that all human beings would believe His Word in the Holy Bible, repent of sin, confess sins to Him for forgiveness, forsake sin...

MAJOR DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE OLD TESTAMENT AND THE NEW TESTAMENT

Hebrews 8:6-7 (AMPC)    “ But as it now is, He [Christ] has acquired a [priestly] ministry which is as much superior  and more excellent [than the old] as the covenant (the agreement) of which He is the Mediator (the Arbiter, Agent) is superior  and more excellent, [because] it is enacted  and rests upon more important (sublimer, higher, and nobler) promises.   7 For if that first covenant had been without defect, there would have been no room for another one  or an attempt to institute another one.”   Dear people of God, a number of Christians do not really understand the difference between the Old Testament and New Testament of the Holy Bible.   This is especially true for those who pray for their human enemies to die and quote the old testament to justify their action.   I will now go ahead and list some major differences between the Old and New Testaments:   (1)  The Old Testament was the covenant God instituted w...

SEEK TO KNOW WHO A CHRISTIAN IS

Hebrews 8:6-7 (AMPC)  “ But as it now is, He [Christ] has acquired a [priestly] ministry which is as much superior  and more excellent [than the old] as the covenant (the agreement) of which He is the Mediator (the Arbiter, Agent) is superior  and more excellent, [because] it is enacted  and rests upon more important (sublimer, higher, and nobler) promises.   7 For if that first covenant had been without defect, there would have been no room for another one  or an attempt to institute another one.”   Dear people of God, from a number of conversations I have had with Christians on some issues bothering on the rights of a Christian in Christ, I have discovered, though sadly, that many are just not aware of these rights.   As a result, many go through life experiencing a lot of difficulties at the hands of the devil and his agents, both demons and human.   Consequently, many Christians are afraid of things that ordinarily they should give a...

DOES GOD APPROVE YOUR CHARACTER?

2 Corinthians 8:20-21 (AMPC)    “[For] we are on our guard, intending that no one should find anything for which to blame us in regard to our administration of this large contribution.   21 For we take thought beforehand  and aim to be honest  and absolutely above suspicion, not only in the sight of the Lord but also in the sight of men.   Dear people of God, as we see in today’s Holy Bible reading, Paul the Apostle was concerned about his integrity before God and before men.   He was concerned that no one should have cause to find anything to blame him concerning administration of a contribution the church made for another Group of Christians.   What can we say about a number of Christians today concerning administration of funds contributed by others for a particular purpose?   All over Africa in particular, we find people complaining about unemployment. When you dig further, what you see as the underlying cause is the abhorring level ...

WHY DO YOU REFUSE TO DISCUSS JESUS CHRIST?

Romans 10:13 (AMPC)  “ For everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord [invoking Him as Lord] will be saved. [Joel 2:32.]”   Dear people of God, it is amazing and sad how many people choose to discuss every other topic under the sun except spiritual matters or the Lord Jesus Christ.   Unfortunately, you also find this practice amongst Christians who are expected to be the light of Christ Jesus to a world darkened by ignorance and sin.   They are quick to discuss coronavirus, cancer, diabetes, other terminal ailments and how they are ravaging different parts of the world taking human lives whilst canvassing different solutions, but they won’t discuss Jesus Christ Who is the Ultimate Solution to all sicknesses and diseases, having taken away our sicknesses and diseases when He shed His precious blood for our sins on the Cross of Calvary – Matthew 8:17; 1 Peter 2:24.   They are quick to discuss the ravaging and heart rending insecurity around the world by terroris...

A HEART OF COMPASSION

Romans 5:6-9 (AMPC) “ While we were yet in weakness [powerless to help ourselves], at the fitting time Christ died for (in behalf of) the ungodly.   7 Now it is an extraordinary thing for one to give his life even for an upright man, though perhaps for a noble  and lovable  and generous benefactor someone might even dare to die.   8 But God shows  and clearly proves His [own] love for us by the fact that while we were still sinners, Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One) died for us.   9 Therefore, since we are now justified (acquitted, made righteous, and brought into right relationship with God) by Christ's blood, how much more [certain is it that] we shall be saved by Him from the indignation  and wrath of God.     Dear people of God, every Christian born into this world was once a sinner. A day eventually came when in God’s mercy the sinner took the decision to believe, accept and trust in what God has revealed in His Word ...
