I heard the testimony of a friend’s wife who once visited a hospital to have a scan and the result came that she had fibroid. To the amazement of the doctor, the lady tore the results and said, “This report is not for me because I am pregnant.” True to her confession, the lady went for a scan at another place months later and it was confirmed that she was indeed pregnant. Again, she went back to the earlier hospital where she was told she had a fibroid and this time around the results showed she was pregnant! Dear friend, what this lady displayed is how faith works. Yes, the results did show she had fibroid but because she rejected it and held on to her belief that she was pregnant, her faith moved God to act on her behalf to confirm it as a baby. There is also another testimony of a lady who was pregnant and the scan showed it was a baby boy but she wanted a baby girl. Dear friend, if someone who did not know Jesus Christ discovers you are a Christian and asks you the question, “why do you love Jesus Christ”, what would be your answer? Can you give reasons why you love Jesus or would you just say because you’re a Christian and all Christians are followers of Christ? When you have a personal relationship with Jesus, it is easy to come up with reasons why you love Him. For me, knowing and loving Jesus is the best thing that has happened in my life. Life is generally becoming harsh and very difficult for most people and families in today's world. The major reason why this is so is because human beings have turned their back on the One Who ALONE is able to PERMANENTLY resolve ALL their issues. Humans have preferred to rely on themselves and their fellow human beings. Over time, it has become obvious to most people that there is no human being who can help them. However, hoping against hope, people still look onto their fellow humans who are well to do as their source of hope. While this seems like a good idea, it usually comes with a lot of consequences. There are many Christians who are passing through difficulties and rather than receive solutions to their challenges in prayer are finding themselves sort of sinking and sinking into more challenges. When they look around them, they see evildoers and sinners prospering and who appear to be happy. In these difficulties, the Christian is wont to abandon His God and Creator because it does appear God has abandoned him or her in the difficulties. Dear friend, does this describe you? An atheist is someone who does not believe in the existence of God Almighty. If you engage an atheist or some others called secular humanists, all they keep asking is why God permits suffering and they use the suffering in the world as their perfect excuse for their unbelief in God's existence. They claim that since God cannot stop the killings of humans by themselves in the world or the untold difficulties people pass through, then it means God cannot exist. What these atheists and secular humanists are unable to do themselves is tell us how to stop these same problems. They believe in science and yet science also cannot tell us how to end the untold sufferings in the world.
