IS JESUS THE LORD OF YOUR LIFE?

Luke 6:46-49 , “ Why do you call Me, Lord, Lord, and do not [practice] what I tell you? 47 For everyone who comes to Me and listens to My Words [in order to heed their teaching] and does them, I will show you what he is like: 48 He is like a man building a house, who dug and went down deep and laid a foundation upon the rock; and when a flood arose, the torrent broke against that house and could not shake  or move it, because it had been securely built  or founded on a rock . 49 But he who merely hears and does not practice doing My Words is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation, against which the torrent burst, and immediately it collapsed  and fell, and the breaking  and ruin of that house was great.” A number of Christians do not understand the difference between Jesus Christ as their Saviour and Jesus Christ as their Lord. As Saviour, Jesus died to rescue us from all control and dominion of the power...

LUCK? WHAT IS THAT?

One online dictionary website defines “LUCK” as success or failure apparently brought by CHANCE rather than through one's own actions. Now the word “CHANCE” means something that happens accidentally. With this definition, we see that LUCK assumes some things or incidents happen outside of God’s knowledge. However, the Word of God tells us in Hebrews 4:13, “ And not a creature exists that is concealed from His (God’s) sight, but ALL THINGS are open  and exposed, naked  and defenseless to the eyes of Him with Whom we have to do. This means nothing is hidden from God. This is why we say God is Omnipotent (all Powerful), Omnipresent (everywhere) and Omniscient (all knowing). How then can someone, and even some Christians for that matter ever speak about something or someone being lucky? If you believe there is an Almighty God Who has the aforementioned attributes, why then would you speak about luck? To speak about Luck is to state or assume God does ...

SEEK GOD AND LIVE

There is a common saying that every human being has 3 basic needs, which are: (1)         Food (2)         Shelter (3)         Clothing Let us see what the Lord tells us in Amos 5:4 (AMPC), “ For thus says the Lord to the house of Israel: Seek Me [inquire for and of Me and require Me as you require food] and you shall live! ” God says the house of Israel should seek Him, as they require food for their body, and they shall live. Someone may argue and say but the message is addressed to the Israelites. Yes, the Israelites are descendants or seed of Abraham as we understand. However, all Christians are also seed of Abraham by virtue of being joined to the Lord Jesus Christ as recorded in God’s Word in Galatians 3:29. With that understanding in mind, the next question is, how are we to seek God as we require food so we can live? We are to seek God with ...

DOES THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST OFFEND YOU?

1 Corinthians 1:18-21 18 For the story and message of the cross is sheer absurdity and folly to those who are perishing and on their way to perdition, but to us who are being saved it is the [manifestation of] the power of God. 19 For it is written, I will baffle  and render useless  and destroy the learning of the learned  and the philosophy of the philosophers and the cleverness of the clever  and the discernment of the discerning; I will frustrate  and nullify [them]  and bring [them] to nothing. [Isa. 29:14.] 20 Where is the wise man (the philosopher)? Where is the scribe (the scholar)? Where is the investigator (the logician, the debater) of this present time  and age? Has not God shown up the nonsense  and the folly of this world's wisdom? 21 For when the world with all its earthly wisdom failed to perceive  and recognize  and know God by means of its own philosophy, God in His wi...

Dear friends, This is a compelling testimony of a former Muslim whom the Lord Jesus Christ appeared to and converted just before the end of this Ramadan. It is a must watch for all Muslims, Christians and people of other faiths all over the world. Please ensure to share it when you have watched it as part of the Gospel Evangelism. Thanks and God bless you as you do.

WHY YOU SHOULD SEEK GOD FIRST IN ALL THINGS

Hosea 8:4 (AMPC) “They set up kings, but not from Me [therefore without My blessing]; they have made princes or removed them [without consulting Me; therefore], I knew and recognized [them] not.” Dear people of God, we should always seek God FIRST in all things because He is our Creator and Father and He loves us with an everlasting love. Even I who am writing this piece sometimes fail to do so and I suffer unpleasant consequences as a result. You can see from today’s lead Holy Bible text that the Israelites at a time set up kings, appointed and removed princes without consulting God and God said they acted without His blessing and He therefore neither knew nor recognized them. Rather than follow God Almighty, they were busy creating idol images from silver and gold and worshipping inanimate objects. I have studied several portions of the Holy Bible and even followed the history of the Israelites as they journeyed from Egypt through the wilderness and into t...

THE DANGER IN REMAINING ANGRY

Many years ago my high school principal used to give us an advice any time school was going on a break for the holidays. He would tell us that we should avoid anger because there is danger in anger. He would say the difference between anger and danger is the letter “D” and it stands for the devil! How true that statement was and still is even today. In God’s Word we are told in Ecclesiastes 7:9 (AMPC), “ Do not be quick in spirit to be angry  or vexed, for anger  and vexation lodge in the bosom of fools.” God’s Word tells us here that those who get angry easily and quickly are fools. The Lord Jesus Christ says in Matthew 18:7, “ Woe to the world because of  offenses! For  offenses must come, but  woe to that man by whom the offense comes! ” The Lord Jesus is saying here that offenses must come in this world that we live in but woe unto anyone by whom the offense comes. What does woe mean? According to the dictionary, woe means gre...
