RETURN NOW TO JESUS CHRIST BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE

2 Peter 2:20-22 (AMPC)  “ For if, after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through [the full, personal] knowledge of our Lord and Savio u r Jesus Christ, they again become entangled in them and are overcome, their last condition is worse [for them] than the first.   21 For never to have obtained a [full, personal] knowledge of the way of righteousness would have been better for them than, having obtained [such knowledge], to turn back from the holy commandment which was [verbally] delivered to them.   22 There has befallen them the thing spoken of in the true proverb, The dog turns back to his own vomit, and, The sow is washed only to wallow again in the mire. [Prov. 26:11.]”   Dear people of God, during morning devotion this past Saturday April 18, 2020, the Lord placed it upon my heart to visit a certain area within our neighbourhood for our weekly Evangelism.   I told my partner and then after prayers, we proceeded for the Evangelism. The...

MERCHANTS OF THE GOSPEL

2 Corinthian 2:17 (AMPC)   “ For we are not, like so many, [like hucksters making a trade of] peddling God's Word [short changing and adulterating the D ivine message]; but like [men] of sincerity  and the purest motive, as [commissioned and sent] by God, we speak [His message] in Christ (the Messiah), in the [very] sight  and presence of God.”   Dear people, once a year, Christians all over the world commemorate one of the greatest events, the Good Friday, in which the Lord Jesus Christ years ago suffered at the hands of sinful men, His creation, and died for their sins and for all mankind’s sins just to destroy the devil’s work when he (devil) deceived Adam and Eve and made them sin against God through disobedience.   This singular act of love by the Lord Jesus for mankind reconciled us spiritually to God and restored all mankind’s lost privileges and rights in Christ Jesus.   Unfortunately, there are many Christians who do not understand the import of th...

NO PLACE FOR SIN IN CHRIST JESUS

Colossians 1:22-23 (AMPC)   “Yet now has [Christ, the Messiah] reconciled [you to God] in the body of His flesh through death, in order to present you holy and faultless and irreproachable in His [the Father's] presence.   23 [And this He will do] provided that you continue to stay with  and in the faith [in Christ], well-grounded and settled  and steadfast, not shifting  or moving away from the hope [which rests on and is inspired by] the glad tidings (the Gospel), which you heard and which has been preached [as being designed for and offered without restrictions] to every person under heaven,”   Dear people of God, the Gospel of Christ Jesus is about preaching the Truth of the Good News to make people realise they have not been living right as far as God is concerned, genuine repentance from sin, confessing and forsaking sin, accepting Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord and a committed life thereafter in righteousness and holy living.   The r...

FEAR NOT, CHRISTIANS

2 Timothy 1:7 (AMPC) “ For God did not give us a spirit of timidity (of cowardice, of craven and cringing and fawning fear), but [He has given us a Spirit] of power and of love and of calm  and well-balanced mind  and discipline  and self-control.”   Dear people of God, as a result of the sin of disobedience of our first parents Adam and Eve to God’s command, sin and death (spiritual and physical) entered into this world.   Thank God however, for the Lord Jesus Christ Who in His unfathomable love for us left His Glorious Throne in Heaven to come to earth as a human being to die for our sins to restore spiritual life to all Who believe what Christ did, accept and become born-again Christians.   However, every human being born into this world is destined to die at some point. God has allotted a timeline for everyone to live on this earth – Psalm 139:16.   I want you to know, dear friend, that even though God has given everyone a timeline to live on this ...

ARE YOU PREPARED FOR JESUS’ SECOND COMING?

Revelation 3:3 (AMPC) “ So call to mind the lessons you received and heard; continually lay them to heart  and obey them, and repent. In case you will not rouse yourselves  and keep awake  and watch , I will come upon you like a thief, and you will not know  or suspect at what hour I will come.”   Dear people of God, the world shut down in 2020 from so many unimportant and ungodly activities as a result of the scare occasioned by the coronavirus pandemic or plandemic as we have come to know it.   However, Heaven never suspended its all-important program of Jesus’ imminent return to earth to take away the saints who are ready and qualified for the Rapture.   Indeed, no force in hell can stop Heaven’s program. The devil and his agents know this and that is why they continue to marshal out ungodly programs that are meant to cause distractions to the world and Christians inclusive, one of  which is the covid-19 pandemic.   Dear friend, as you we...

MAJOR DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE OLD TESTAMENT AND THE NEW TESTAMENT (2)

Hebrews 8:6-7 (AMPC)  “ But as it now is, He [Christ] has acquired a [priestly] ministry which is as much superior  and more excellent [than the old] as the covenant (the agreement) of which He is the Mediator (the Arbiter, Agent) is superior  and more excellent, [because] it is enacted  and rests upon more important (sublimer, higher, and nobler) promises.   7 For if that first covenant had been without defect, there would have been no room for another one  or an attempt to institute another one.” Dear friend, in the first part of this post, we saw a number of major differences between the Old Testament and New Testament.   We saw that the Old Testament was given by God as a law for the Jews practising Judaism whilst the New Testament is given by God as a law for Christians and indeed the entire world.   God expects that all human beings would believe His Word in the Holy Bible, repent of sin, confess sins to Him for forgiveness, forsake sin...

MAJOR DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE OLD TESTAMENT AND THE NEW TESTAMENT

Hebrews 8:6-7 (AMPC)    “ But as it now is, He [Christ] has acquired a [priestly] ministry which is as much superior  and more excellent [than the old] as the covenant (the agreement) of which He is the Mediator (the Arbiter, Agent) is superior  and more excellent, [because] it is enacted  and rests upon more important (sublimer, higher, and nobler) promises.   7 For if that first covenant had been without defect, there would have been no room for another one  or an attempt to institute another one.”   Dear people of God, a number of Christians do not really understand the difference between the Old Testament and New Testament of the Holy Bible.   This is especially true for those who pray for their human enemies to die and quote the old testament to justify their action.   I will now go ahead and list some major differences between the Old and New Testaments:   (1)  The Old Testament was the covenant God instituted w...
