The Word of God says in Malachi 2:7, “For the lips of a priest should keep knowledge, and people should seek the law from his mouth; For he is the messenger of the Lord of hosts." It is therefore the duty of priests, pastors and prophets to teach the Word of God to His people. This is why our Lord Jesus Christ first asked Peter, the head of the Apostles, three good times if he loved Him (Jesus) and when Peter affirmed three times he loved Jesus, He was given a command to feed the sheep and take care of the lamb, which is the Church (John 21:16-17). This command from our Lord Jesus Christ remains the same today to every preacher of the Gospel He has called to minister to His Church. Dear friend, there are many Christians out there who struggle every day to eke out a living. Many are struggling to pay bills and many are struggling to live a righteous life and earn a living at the same time. Temptations to sin are rife round about them and it is so difficult not to yield to it. Or so it seems. One of the greatest discoveries a Christian can make is how to properly apply faith to achieve results. Though this is simple to do, majority cannot fathom why it is so difficult. The reason I say it is simple is because the answer lies in God's Word found ONLY in the Holy Bible. So many people are caught up in the daily chores of life that they fail to give heed to the most important area of their lives - the spiritual. Anyone who CONSTANTLY AND CONSISTENTLY reads, believes and applies God's Word in his or her life will get the same results. Today, Saturday June 13, 2015 my Church group organized evangelism within my home area so we broke into smaller groups to go share the Gospel with others. As usual, we observed that people naturally moved away once they saw people clutching the Holy Bible approaching to speak to them. Even those I know personally who worked for me as artisans claimed to be very busy to listen and when we got one or two to listen, they would walk away claiming to go and attend to customer's jobs. After a while, we would see them chatting in groups and not doing the work they claimed they were busy attending to that made them refuse to listen to the Gospel message in the first instance. I did not feel bad or disappointed because I recollect I was once like that, always taking off once I sighted people clutching the Holy Bible and approaching to share the Gospel with me. Whenever we are faced with a difficult situation, there are a number of alternatives available to us to follow. Some look for a way out, some refuse to do anything, some complain and complain while some pray and hand over the situation to God. As a Christian, the last option is the best because a praying Christian understands that God is able to do all things and there is no situation God cannot handle because He owns everything and has the final say ALWAYS. This is why God was angry with the Israelites in the wilderness when He commanded them to enter and take possession of the Promised Land of Canaan flowing with milk and honey and they refused and started complaining. Dear people of God, in today's Bible reading we find our Lord Jesus Christ rebuking two of His Apostles for wanting to call fire from heaven on their enemies in a Samaritan transit town for refusing to receive their Master Jesus Christ. The Jews and Samaritans had a history of enmity (John 4:9) so the call for destruction of their enemies was normal for Apostles James and John. Scientists have estimated that there are about 37.2 TRILLION cells in the human body! If we were to line the cells one by one it would form a length that would be about 744,000 kilometres! And these are building blocks of life that are in every adult human body. Though there are different cells that last several days or even weeks forming tissues and organs to perform different functions in the body, the human body loses about 96 million cells every minute and the same number of cells is reproduced within the same time period to replace the lost ones. Dear friend, knowing that without cells no human being would survive, and knowing that every human being came from the relations between a man and woman and end up with these number of cells in their bodies, how can one not be amazed at this great wonder of the world?
