HINDRANCES TO ANSWERED PRAYERS

Songs of Solomon 2:15  “Take us the foxes, the little foxes, that spoil the vines: for our vines have tender grapes.” Dear people of God, delay in answer to prayers is not denial by God. There are people who seem to have done everything right but are yet to receive answers to their prayers. Today, let us look at some of the hindrances or little foxes the devil uses in bringing accusations against us so we can learn to avoid them as God’s Word says and receive our miracles in the process: Offence – Luke 17:1-4 – offences are a major hindrance to prayers of Christians because Christians lack understanding of the damage it causes to them spiritually. Our Lord Jesus has made it clear that if someone offends you, rebuke the person and if the offender repents, forgive. It is expected that you will deal with the offending issue directly with the offender and let go rather than take it to tell another person who could be defiled by the report of offence – Hebrews 12:15....

JESUS ALONE, JESUS ONLY

1 Timothy 2:5 "For there [is only] one God, and [only] one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus," Dear friend, many people turn to the wrong people and wrong solutions whenever they have a crisis in life. However, only one solution is needed and His name is Jesus Christ. Jesus is the Mediator between God and man as we see in today's lead Bible text. Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth & the Life, no one can reach God the Father except through Jesus - John 14:6. Only in Jesus can one find peace in life and outside of Jesus there is certainly going to be crises - John 16:33. Jesus is the Son of God - Matthew 3:17; 17:5. Jesus is the Word of God - John 1:1,14; 1 John 5:7; Revelation 19:33. Jesus is the Resurrection and the Life - John 11:25-26. Jesus is the Saviour of the world - Acts 4:12. Jesus is the door to heaven - John 10:9. Jesus is the Good Shepherd - John 10:11,14. Jesus is the Light of the world - Jo...

WHY USE GOD'S GIFTS FOR EVIL?

Dear friend, the Bible, God's Word, tells us in James 1:17, Every good gift and every perfect (free, large, full) gift is from above; it comes down from the Father of all [that gives] light, in [the shining of] Whom there can be no variation [rising or setting] or shadow cast by His turning [as in an eclipse]. God created the Universe by His spoken Word - Hebrews 11:3. The same God has given us various gifts and it is expected that we treat these gifts with utmost care and use them to glorify God only. Sadly, however, we see in today's world so many people using God's gifts to them in a very dishonourable and shameful manner. For instance, the gift of children - some people sell their kids for money; some use their kids for rituals to make money, some shower their kids with material gifts and neglect the more important spiritual gifts that God's Word says they should be equipped with to help them grow to better adults in future - Deuteronomy 4:9-10;6:6...

THE FOOLISHNESS OF IDOLATRY

Some people join secret cults to make money. In these secret cults, the blood and life of their spouses, mothers, fathers, children, siblings, etc is given in exchange in spiritual ritual sacrifices and the particular family member dies physically.   Such rituals are usually renewed after a certain agreed period.   Examples of such cults are illuminati, ogboni, freemasons, santeria, etc   Some people visit voodoo priests in search of children, protection from enemies, business success and even to obtain charms to harm enemies.   Some people exchange their own souls with satan for riches and fame.   Some join witchcraft and wizard covens and use the evil powers to afflict innocent people and real enemies with poverty, sickness, death, etc.   Some create images of stone, wood, iron, gold, silver, carry such images and invokes demons into them and begin to worship them as their god.   Some people worship animals, the sun, the moon, the sta...

JESUS DIED THAT WE MIGHT LIVE

Hebrews 9:28 (AMP) “Even so it is that Christ, having been offered to take upon Himself and bear as a burden the sins of many once and once for all, will appear a second time, not to carry any burden of sin nor to deal with sin, but to bring to full salvation those who are [eagerly, constantly, and patiently] waiting for and expecting Him.” Dear people of God, a friend of mine recently told me how he sat with his own friends who were taking alcohol and when asked if he wanted some, one of them responded to say they knew he would not take alcohol. However, another one of them said it is not people like my friend Jesus is coming for since the bible says Jesus came for sinners and so it is they taking alcohol that Jesus is coming for. I asked my friend what his response was and he said those guys are lost and so he did not bother to respond. I pointed out to him that he missed an opportunity there to share the Gospel with them and to clarify their ignorance about Christ’s ...

FALLING IN LOVE WITH JESUS

Falling in love with our Lord Jesus Christ is the best thing that can happen to anyone. One thing you will discover is a peace in your heart and life that surpasses all human understanding.  Something else you will realize is that with Jesus there is nothing to worry about because He is able to provide all your needs, as long as it is according to His will or in line with His Word in the Holy Bible. Even when people offend you, as long as you recall that Jesus died for your sins also and you offend Him every single day of your life knowingly and unknowingly, you would readily forgive the offender. Unfortunately, not very many Christians are able to reach this level of understanding because their minds are distracted by the cares of this world. This is the reason our Lord Jesus Christ told the parable of the sower in Matthew 13 to distinguish the different kinds of mind-set people have in relation to God's Word and how it affects their lives. According to o...

WILL JESUS CHRIST EVER FORGIVE ME?

This is the question I saw a young man ask on television today as I watched a Christian programme on open air preaching. A group of people were sharing the Gospel via open air preaching in Vienna Austria and this young man happened to be passing by, heard the message and stopped to listen. He then spoke to a member of the group of preachers and said he wanted to ask a question. He then asked this question of today's topic and went on to say he had been struggling with hard drugs but he had asked God for forgiveness, he now reads his bible but he usually found himself crying while praying to God. He said he had done a lot of very bad things in the past, which was why he was struggling with the question whether God would forgive him or not. Dear friend, there are so many people in today's world struggling with this same question - will Jesus Christ forgive me? Their reason stems from their perception of the severity of the atrocities they have committed and they...
